Privacy

Gadget Expert Technician Console is a program you install on your own computer, phone or tablet. We do not run a server that holds your data.

What the app stores

Customers, devices, jobs, invoices, photos and signatures are stored on the device the app runs on, in the app's own folder. Backups are files you choose where to keep. We never receive them.

What the app sends

Update check: at start-up the app fetches https://gadgetexpert.app/latest.json to learn whether a newer version exists. No data about you or your shop is sent; Cloudflare, which hosts this site, sees the request like any web page visit.
AI assistant (optional): if you enter your own API key, receipt images and a summary of your shop's figures are sent to the AI provider you chose, under their terms. Off by default.
Customer messages: sending an SMS, WhatsApp or email opens the corresponding app on your device; nothing goes through us.

This website

It sets no cookies and uses no analytics. Downloads are served from Cloudflare, which keeps standard server logs (IP address, time, file) for a short period.

Licence keys

When you buy a licence we keep your name, email and the key we issued, so we can reissue it and send you updates about the app. Write to support@gadgetexpert.dk to have it removed.
